This is a perfect Rome day trip for those interested in both cooking and learning about our local extra virgin olive oil, this fantastic combined experience will take you first of all to the Largest Olive Tree in Europe, the 2,080 years old ‘olivone’, as it’s known locally.
After this, we will welcome you into our home kitchen for a two-course traditional Italian cooking class. Italian cooking tips and secrets about regional dishes are revealed while preparing a two course meal using only what's in season. During the cooking class, we will also tell what to look for when appreciating high quality extra virgin olive oil. Your olive oil tasting session will make you appreciate the difference in quality between mass-produced oils and our local organic extra virgin olive oil from the Sabine Hills (Sabina DOP).

After your cooking class you will enjoy your lunch with ample local wines on our family terrace overlooking medieval villages, monasteries and miles and miles of rolling hills covered by olive groves.
At the end of your meal, we will walk just outside our gate and into a 600 year old olive grove, where Guido will tell you all about olive oil making from start to finish, its ancient history and what it takes to maintain an olive grove here in Italy.
At the end of your day with us, we will return you to our local train station, where you will catch one of the frequent trains back to Rome.
